Why am I doing this?
Sunday 3rd Nov A great question I even asked myself through the whole registration process. But there was the little determined voice in my brain that said ‘why not?’At the start of this year I couldn’t stand without feeling as if I was going to collapse. I’ve spent this whole year trying to get healthy enough to walk around the house. Now I’m determined to prove to myself how far I’ve come to overcome my health anxiety and have proof of my strength. I wouldn’t have been able to make it walking 50 metres at the start of the year without collapsing. Now I’m going to finish 3km. Might not sound like much, but for the 21-year-old girl who could barely stand, it’s a milestone. And if there are a few donations for women’s and children’s health along the way, what an extra win! Thanks for being here :)
