Meet Bobbi and Bowie

When their twins were born at just 33 weeks, Jackie and Taylan found out firsthand how important it is to have access to the high-quality care and specialised equipment available at University Hospital Geelong’s Special Care Nursery.

"After arriving at 33 weeks, our little babies were placed into incubators in the Special Care Nursery to keep them warm. They had feeding tubes and they were monitored constantly to check their progress.

It was an anxious and overwhelming time and we were so grateful we were able to have our babies close to home.

Thanks to the amazing care and support from the  Special Care Nursery, Bobbi and Bowie are both now thriving and we look forward to celebrating our first Christmas as a family at home.

Having experienced the high-quality care and support available, we feel passionately about supporting more local families, just like us with access to specialist care.
