What is the Circle of Care?

The Circle of Care is Barwon Health Foundation's giving collective, designed to support the Barwon Women's and Children's Appeal. A community-powered way to build something none of us could build alone.

When you join, your gift combines with others across the region — multiplying your impact, and enhancing the services Barwon Health can offer for children, women and families across our region. Together, we can build spaces for future generations to come.

Amy & Freddie's story.

"At just 34 weeks, our little Freddie became a patient in the Special Care Nursery at University Hospital Geelong. Following his birth, he required surgery for a congenital birth defect and was later diagnosed with Trisomy 2.

The team supported him with skill, dedication and compassion — and they cared for us as parents just as thoughtfully. Having this care available close to home made an immeasurable difference.

The new Barwon Women's and Children's will ensure families like ours can stay close to their babies, where they need to be."

Hybrid Operating Theatre

A highly specialised surgical suite — the first of its kind for Barwon Health — integrating advanced imaging technology to support complex procedures. Benefits patients across University Hospital Geelong, fully fitted out through philanthropy.

Equipment Fund

Investment in additional cutting-edge medical equipment to future-proof care for the next decade and beyond.

Child & Family Wellbeing Spaces

Calming, restorative environments that support play, comfort and emotional wellbeing for patients and families — recognising the vital role environment plays in healing and recovery.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

How do I get a receipt?

You'll receive your tax receipt instantly via email the moment your donation is processed — ready for your tax return. If you ever need a copy resent, just email foundation@barwonhealth.org.au.

Can I give monthly instead of as a one-off?

Absolutely. Family Circle gifts ($50,000) can be spread over 5 years as annual instalments, and any tier can be structured as a regular monthly contribution if that works better for you. Get in touch and we'll set it up.

Can I give in memory of someone?

Yes — a Circle of Care gift is a beautiful way to honour someone's memory. You can add a tribute name when you donate (e.g. "In memory of Jean"), and it will appear alongside your name on the donor wall. For more meaningful tribute arrangements, please contact the Foundation directly.

Can I include the Foundation in my will?

A bequest is one of the most powerful ways to leave a lasting legacy for women, children and families in our region. We'd be honoured to have a confidential conversation with you about including Barwon Health Foundation in your will. Please contact foundation@barwonhealth.org.au to learn more.

Can I give anonymously?

Of course. When you donate, simply choose to give anonymously and your name won't appear on the website, the digital tile or the in-hospital installation. Your gift still has the same impact — and you'll still receive your tax receipt.
