About Power Up For MND
Motor neurone disease (MND) is a neurodegenerative disease that causes rapidly progressive muscle weakness. Specifically, the disease affects nerve cells that control the muscles that enable you to move, speak, swallow and breathe.
There is no cure and the disease is life shortening. There is also no mistaking that this is a most confronting dreadful disease.
The Barwon Health MND Clinic operates with an extraordinary, dedicated team providing multidisciplinary services and includes doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech therapists, social workers, dieticians, pharmacists, technicians, psychologists, neuro psychologists, therapy assistants and patient service attendants.
