The Cause
Established in 2002, Barwon Health Foundation exists to improve the health and wellbeing of the Greater Geelong region by investing in Barwon Health’s lifesaving and life-enhancing care. Just like the service it exists to support, Barwon Health Foundation does not have one single health focus. It raises funds to enhance the care available at Barwon Health from birth through to death and every joy or challenge in between including; maternity, cancer, mental health, cardiac, paediatric, stroke, MND, aged care and end-of-life care. Barwon Health Foundation is calling on Geelong’s generous building industry to be a part of the single biggest fundraising activity in its proud 21-year history, with all proceeds helping to support the health of our local community.
How It Started
One industry leader that believed in the vision from the very beginning was Bisinella Properties. Immediately upon learning of the Foundation’s desire to host a charity house auction, the project was kick-started by the donation of a block of land from Lara Lakes Estate. Modelled on the national-award winning Grand Lakes Estate, Lara Lakes is located at the top of the Lara West Growth Area, bordering the existing township. The House4Health property is located on O'Hallorans Rd, neighbouring soon-to-be-built display homes to ensure maximum exposure for the project and marketing opportunities for its supporters. This initial generous contribution got the Barwon Health Foundation one giant step closer to achieving its ultimate dream.
Our Goal
So, what is the dream? The Barwon Health Foundation’s goal is to get the project’s costs – through discounts and donations of goods and services, as well as major philanthropist support - as close to neutral as possible. The House4Health Building Partner Hamlan Homes will lead the construction of the spacious four-bedroom, two-living Johanna 274 design, which was selected in consultation with Real Estate Partner, Ray White Lara, to ensure maximum appeal for buyers in the area. With the generous support of local businesses and individuals donating or discounting time, materials and skills, we hope we can tell the future homebuyer on auction day that 100% of the sale price will be donated to the cause.

About the Johanna
This design features our signature central courtyard which creates a home that is light, bright and well connected to the outdoors.
When you first step into the Johanna 274, you’re instantly impressed by the sense of space with its wide entry that opens into the adjacent formal lounge.
The kitchen, meals and family room are a spacious area to relax or entertain. The design successfully brings the outside in using stacker doors that lead to the courtyard.
The generous master bedroom at the rear of the home, includes a wall length robe with plenty of storage and the ensuite features a large shower.
