Here at the Barwon Health Foundation, we’ve set an ambitious goal to raise $250,000 to support some of the vital medical needs of our tiniest and most vulnerable, local patients.

Join us in our Wish Upon A Star Christmas Appeal to help tiny babies like Tegh and Sahib, who received life-saving care at University Hospital Geelong and, thankfully, will now be spending their first Christmas at home.

Read their story here.

Our goal for the "Wish Upon A Star" Christmas campaign can only be achieved with the support of our remarkable community.

Our first Christmas wish is to fund 8 new state-of-the-art birthing beds for the University Hospital Geelong’s birth suites. These beds are the very latest to accommodate any birth emergency and will help support a safe and world-class birth suite environment for local mums and babies.

Our second Christmas wish is to fund 5 new CPAP ventilators to help the sickest of babies and children who are not able to breathe on their own. These ventilators can help save precious seconds and minutes in response time.

It may seem like a big goal, and indeed it is, but anything is possible when we all come together as a community to help give local babies and young children the very best start to life.

After all, Geelong families deserve the very best.

What's our Christmas wish?

Wish #1
Eight state-of-the-art birthing beds

Wish #2
Five CPAP paediatric ventilators

Tess and Cater join the appeal

Tess Holmes a much-loved make-up artist, business owner and mum-of-three, knows all too well the importance of a supportive and safe birth suite environment. Having birthed two of her children at Barwon Health and one at home, Tess says she would take a supportive hospital environment and birthing bed over her lounge room floor any day!

How can you help us support our tiniest and most vulnerable patients this Christmas?
