The Lions Club of Geelong Hamlyn Heights recently donated $5,000 to the Barwon Health Foundation Kids Rehab Centre Appeal which is to see a new rehab facility built specifically for children on land at the McKellar Centre.

Lion President, Stuart McLean OAM said “We are was thrilled that the Lions were able to contribute to this exciting and much need facility for kids requiring intensive rehabilitation facilities in Geelong.”

“We are always there to support our local community and we are happy to make this contribution towards the centre which will rather than the current set up where they need to share space with older patients which is obviously not good for either group”

Barwon Health Foundation’s Philanthropy Manager Francis Trainor said “We really appreciate the support of the Lions Club for the extraordinary work they do in both financial and practical assistance”

“it was a pleasure discussing the project with Stuart and his fellow Lion members and we look forward to seeing this wonderful project come to fruition”
