We were delighted to attend the 43rd birthday celebration of Cancer After Care group.
The former independent charity held the celebration at Truffleduck, with its members and supporters. The celebration was extra sweet also marking their 42nd which they were unable to celebrate in person last year due to COVID.
Cancer After Care who are now a community group under the Barwon Health Foundation, are responsible for lobbying to bring cancer services to Geelong and since 1978 have raised over $4 million dollars for the Andrew Love Cancer Centre.
Attendees were treated to presentations from Jaqui White (Barwon Health Paliative Care Program Manager) and Dr Simon Williams (Barwon Health Clinical Director of Surgical and Critical Care).
