It’s patients like 16-year-old Alex that inspire us every single day.
His bravery, strength and determination is admirable.
In January Alex underwent his 500th lifesaving infusion to treat a condition called Muscopolysaccharidosis, which he was diagnosed with at six years old.
Alex has to be admitted each week to the Cotton on Foundation Children’s Ward where he receives his infusion.
The Barwon Health Foundation threw Alex a Marvel themed party to mark this milestone, thanks to the support of the local construction industry and unions.
