Meet Baby Hamish
Locals Tyla and Dale Anderson know firsthand just how critical Barwon Health’s special care nursery is – it’s helped save the life of their premature newborn son, Hamish.
Born at just 31 weeks, it was far too soon. His little body weighed just 1.8 kilograms and he needed to be rushed straight to the Special Care Nursery.
"The care at Barwon Health has been amazing. We know Hamish is in the best possible hands and every single person who has cared for us has made us feel safe.
Although he was not due until early January, we think Hamish really wanted to join our family this Christmas. He has many breathing, weight and feeding milestones to hit first, but we are hoping and wishing to have him home, where he belongs, for Christmas."
- Tyla Anderson
